APE is short for Assitch performance exhausts, and it's more than just a name. Like every great idea it started with a joke. Owner and founder Kel de Bruijn is an avid Honda fan and a true enthousiast at heart. He tought himself the art of welding years ago in his fathers garage. You know.... just because it would come in handy every once and a while. After doing some stupid stuff with the torch a buddy asked him to weld a simple stainless steel turbo header. Mister APE found out it wasn't as hard as he thought it would be and he immediately made a downpipe, a full custom exhaust and the chargepiping. Both he and his first "customer" were very very pleased with the result and dreamt about the idea that Kel had to start a business for his talent and while dreaming on the name APE apeared. Just to get the rumours out... no.. Kel does not have an itching ass all the time. It's just a nickname he chose on a variety of forums.

More and more honda owners found their way to APE, it started locally and when time moved on the rest of the Netherlands and Belgium followed. In 2009 due to the so called "financial crisis" Kel was forced to quit his job and he was unemployed for the first time in his life. Weird, but good. He went to the chambers of commerce right away en started his business. We still can't believe how booming the business is in this time of crisis. Until now there was absolutely no time for rest. Working and working on projects for many customers and his own crew projects. APE-garage is working very very hard to stay in the game with top-end products for normal prices. The company focuses on everything from regular maintenance services to full track builds. The dedication Kel has is unlike most has ever experienced. Hopefully in time it will help set the bar for other shops alike and will APE-garage grow into a well known and apreciated shop in Europe.
